DSP Recognition Week is Starting this Sunday!

Hello,

The Community Provider Network of Rhode Island invites you to join us in virtually celebrating the exceptional and essential work of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs); the workers who provide support services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Our virtual recognition, DSPs: Exceptional & Essential will be held next week

September 13 - 19, 2020

Throughout the week, we will show our appreciation of DSPs by posting photos, videos, and thank you messages on CPNRI's Facebook and Twitter. Please support our efforts by following our pages, and liking/sharing our posts to acknowledge DSPs. Together, we can raise awareness about the important role they play in helping Rhode Islanders with disabilities be a part of the community.

We also ask that YOU take a few minutes to post to your personal social media pages on any day during the week of September 13. Remember, DSPs work Sunday through Saturday, so we will be celebrating them all week! We strongly encourage you to share your own posts with pictures, videos, and stories of DSPs doing amazing work. In your posts, please tag @CPNRI and use the the hashtag #DSPsExceptionalEssential. This way, we can all read one another's stories, and DSPs will be able to see all posts regardless of whether you're connected on social media or not.

Let's take the week to show appreciation for the essential work DSPs do on a daily basis, and recognize their tireless efforts to keep the people they support safe throughout the pandemic.

We hope that you will participate in this important week to say "thanks" to Rhode Island's essential and exceptional Direct Support Professionals.

Thank you for your support of Rhode Island's disability community.

Sincerely,

- The Community Provider Network of RI
