The 2021 Community Provider Network - RI Direct Support Professional Award recipient is Felix Ireland. Congratulations to Felix for his outstanding service and dedication.
This award is given to a direct support employee from each agency that has been selected by that organization as exemplary in the practice of direct support and thought of as a model of excellence. Consideration is given to the person’s longevity, creativity, leadership and contribution to the quality of life for people supported.
From the nomination:
We are pleased to nominate Felix Ireland for 2021 Direct Support Professional of the year. As we have expressed many times before, there is no one else like Felix, honestly what can't we say of him. Felix is such an important part of our Seven Mile Road family and most importantly such a positive asset to our team. He is beyond what an overnight staff is, He is always available whenever needed, and flexible. Felix worked continuously through the pandemic seven days a week, which has been for over a year. He is always willing to come in earlier than 11 pm (arriving at 8pm) simply to relieve another staff person who is also working so many extra/ double shifts. He is always thinking of ways to make situations in the house run smoothly. When we think of Felix, all we can say is he is a very humble/honest/ grateful man. He does not expect anything in return and has great work ethics.
